Construction
A ball bearing with a spherical outer surface and a wide inner ring. That spherical surface seats in the housing bore, so the complete unit self-aligns when the shaft is slightly out of line. UC types are fixed to the shaft by two set screws 120° apart; UK types have a 1:12 tapered bore and mount on an adapter sleeve.
Load capacity
Moderate radial and light axial load. Greased and sealed at the factory; many sizes have a grease nipple for relubrication.
Typical applications
Replacement inserts for UCP/UCF/UCT units already installed on conveyors, farm machinery and fans.
