Needle rollers: small diameter with a length several times the diameter. The result is a bearing with a very small radial section height.
Load capacity
High radial capacity where radial space is tight; no axial capacity. Drawn-cup types (R, HK) run directly on a hardened shaft used as the inner raceway.
Typical applications
Automotive and motorcycle gearboxes, universal joints, hydraulic pumps, printing machines, cam mechanisms.
