Construction

Bearings built to each vehicle model’s own drawing rather than an ISO series. Wheel bearings are usually sealed-for-life double-row angular contact units; clutch release bearings have a thrust face and a self-centring feature; idler bearings come with a moulded plastic or steel pulley.

Load capacity

Looked up by vehicle or brand reference rather than by d – D – B; many items carry both an internal number and the original manufacturer number (for example JAB-2002 = 35BG05S7G).

Typical applications

Wheel hubs, clutch assemblies, cam and alternator belt drives, water pumps, motorcycles.
